<li>You can try both &#8220;PPTP VPN&#8221; and &#8220;L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN&#8221; on your Android devices.</li>
<li>The shared secret (PSK) for L2TP is <strong>VPNVIP</strong> (all in capital letters)</li>
<li>Please try PPTP VPN first because it&#8217;s usually faster than L2TP</li>
<li>If you have hacked (root) your device and have problems using VPN, probably you need to run this command from shell:<br />

In “Server Address”, enter our server host name: <strong>vpn.vpnvip.com</strong> or <strong>us.vpnvip.com</strong> or <strong>cn.vpnvip.com</strong> or <strong>uk.vpnvip.com</strong>;<br />
In “Account Name”, enter your vpn account name (your registered email);</p>

<h3>Advanced VPN settings</h3>
<p>Next, we&#8217;ll need to adjust some of the advanced VPN settings. To do that, first click the &#8216;Advanced&#8230;&#8221; button.<br />
For the VPN to work effectively, the &#8220;Send all traffic over VPN connection&#8221; checkbox should be checked.</p>

<h3>Open the Start Menu</h3>
<p>First, click on the Start Menu and type &#8220;VPN&#8221; into the search box.</p>

<h3>Enter the server information</h3>

<p>Lastly, make sure that the checkbox labelled &#8220;Don&#8217;t connect now; just set it up so I can connect later&#8221; is checked.</p>

<h3>Enter your VPNVIP username and password</h3>
<p>In this screen, enter your VPN username and password.</p>

<p>Then, click the &#8220;Create&#8221; button.</p>
<h3>Go to the connection</h3>
<p>Click on the Start Menu, type the word &#8220;Network&#8221; into the search box, and click on &#8220;Network and Sharing Center&#8221;.</p>

<p>When the Network and Sharing Center opens, click on &#8220;Connect to a network&#8221;.</p>

<p>When you click on &#8220;Connect to a network&#8221;, a list of VPNs pops up. Right click on the &#8220;My VPN&#8221; connection (the VPN connection just created) and choose &#8220;Properties&#8221;. </p>
<h3>Edit the VPN type to L2TP</h3>
<p>In the &#8220;Properties&#8221; of new VPN connection, click on the &#8220;Type of VPN&#8221; pop up menu and select &#8220;L2TP/IPsec&#8221;.</p>

<h3>Set the Preshared Key</h3>
<p>In the &#8220;IPsec Settings&#8221; dialog, click the radio button labelled &#8220;Use preshared key for authentication&#8221;. Then type &#8220;VPNVIP&#8221; into the textbox labelled &#8220;Key&#8221;. Then click the &#8220;OK&#8221; button.</p>

<h3>Neworking settings</h3>
<p>This screen shows you the network settings. You may have different items in your list. In the list of items that you see, make sure that only the &#8220;Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4)&#8221; and &#8220;Client for Microsoft Networks&#8221; items are checked. If oher protcols are checked, uncheck them by clicking on the checkbox.</p>
<p>VPNVIP currently does not route anything except TCP/IP version 4.</p>

<h3>Done!</h3>

<p>When the Network and Sharing Center opens, click on &#8220;Connect to a network&#8221;.</p>

<p>When you click on &#8220;Connect to a network&#8221;, a list of VPNs pops up. Right click on the &#8220;My VPN&#8221; connection (the VPN connection just created) and choose &#8220;Properties&#8221;. </p>
<h3>Edit the VPN type to PPTP</h3>
<p>When the property window opens, click on the &#8220;Security&#8221; tab. Click on &#8220;Automatic&#8221;, and change it to &#8220;Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP).</p>

<h3>Neworking settings</h3>
<p>This screen shows you the network settings. You may have different items in your list. In the list of items that you see, make sure that only the &#8220;Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4)&#8221; and &#8220;Client for Microsoft Networks&#8221; items are checked. If oher protcols are checked, uncheck them by clicking on the checkbox.</p>
<p>VPNVIP currently does not route anything except TCP/IP version 4.</p>

<h3>Done!</h3>
<p>You&#8217;re now done with your setup! You&#8217;ve set up your VPNVIP connection to use PPTP. Click &#8220;OK&#8221; to finish now, then connect to our VPN server by this connection.</p>

<p>This will bring you to the following window in which you must enter the host name of the VPN server: <strong>vpn.vpnvip.com</strong> or <strong>us.vpnvip.com</strong> or <strong>cn.vpnvip.com</strong> or <strong>uk.vpnvip.com</strong></p>

<p>And finally, the &#8220;Connection Availability&#8221; window will allow you to select who is authorized to use the VPN connection. &#8220;Anyone&#8217;s use&#8221; will permit anyone who logs onto the system to use the connection, whereas &#8220;My use only&#8221; will limit it&#8217;s use to you only.</p>

<p>Once you click Next and Finish, your new connection will be visible in the Network Connections window (as seen below).</p>

<p>Right click the new connection and select properties to open the properties window. Here, you can configure, amongst others, the network settings and general options.</p>
<p>Select the Networking tab and in the &#8220;Type of VPN&#8221; drop down list, choose L2TP VPN. </p>

<p> Click the Security tab, then click the &#8220;IPsec Settings…&#8221; button:</p>
